Were hiring for a RtR Accountant Nearshore as part of Merkle in Barcelona. Job Description: Purpose of the role We are looking for a RtR Nearshore to assist the finance team in delivering timely and accurate information to the business through analysis of business unit performance. The role will utilise financial analysis techniques to provide insight, analysis and trends on critical business issues impacting the day-to-day performance of a business unit for consideration by senior stakeholders. Your core responsibilities:
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial records are accurately updated and reported
  • General Accounting: Support the comprehensive management of all accounting bookings to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Financial Reporting: Report financial data in designated tools (e.g., Blackline, Coupa Treasury) according to group instructions. Collaborate with other finance functions to ensure compliance and consistency in reporting.
  • Audit and Compliance: Support audit processes by providing accurate and comprehensive data, and assisting in the preparation of audit documentation
  • Tax and Treasury Management: Manage local tax reporting and compliance with statutory obligations. Oversee treasury activities, including cash pooling, and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process controls and efficiency improvements to optimize operational finance deliverables. Propose and execute best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting and compliance.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate risks in R2R processes. Manage escalations related to process deficiencies, collaborating with key stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Vendor management: Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring all vendor-related activities are conducted smoothly and efficiently
  • Intercompany Invoicing: Support the intercompany invoicing process, ensuring all transactions between company entities are accurately documented and processed
  • Travel Expenses: Oversee the management of travel expenses, ensuring all travel-related costs are accurately recorded and reimbursed in a timely manner.
  • Purchase Orders (PO): Manage the entire PO process from creation to completion, ensuring all purchase orders are processed efficiently and accurately
  • Payments: Prepare and execute the monthly payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements to all relevant parties
Qualifications What we are looking for in you
  • Fluent English.
  • Good excel skills
  • +2 years of experience in Record to Report management tasks
  • Proficient knowledge of tools like:
    • Navision
    • Dynamics 365
    • SAP Analytics cloud
    • Blackline
    • Coupa treasury
