Who are we looking for?

We are actively looking for a Fullstack Engineer to support the activities at the Madrid office.

At FOSSA we develop, manufacture and validate multitude of full-stack tools. From tools to test hardware to operational tools for ground control of the satellites, among others.

You will be able to participate in the different steps of the development cycle for all our internal and external tools in ground, space and user segments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop efficient, scalable, and user-friendly end-to-end solutions for both front-end and back-end systems.
• Develop web applications using JavaScript, React, and other relevant technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain REST APIs.
• Program Python scripts for various tasks and functionalities.
• Manage Linux-based systems and environments.
• Handle database management and data processing.

Profile:

• Computer science or telecommunications degree.
• 3 years of minimum related experience.
• Knowledge in programming languages such as JavaScript and Python.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of React.
• Experience with both relational (e.g., MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently and taking initiative when necessary.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Preferably:

• Experience with Linux, Docker, GitHub, and automation/deployment in server environments.
• Familiarity with IoT protocols and communication standards.
• Demonstrable interest in the space sector.
• Experience with personal or self-initiated development projects.
