Whats the opportunity?

The position is for a commercial legal counsel who will work with the contracts team while also supporting the wider business in various commercial and legal matters.

What will I be doing?

• Providing legal advice on contractual matters of the Group entities worldwide.
• Drafting, analyzing, and negotiating commercial agreements, engagement letters, services agreements, NDAs, novation agreements, guarantees, loans, derivatives agreements, shareholders agreements, and related documents.
• Partnering with global legal team members and working with senior colleagues and functional leaders on strategic projects, regulatory issues, product development, business opportunities, and operational matters.
• Creating and advising on templates, policies, and procedures to address new requirements.
• Drafting, reviewing, completing, and filing legal paperwork related to business operations.

What skills do I need?

• Qualified lawyer with a law degree.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally from a major law firm or in-house in financial services or M&A.
• Solid experience in commercial, contractual, and corporate law.
• Knowledge of payments, financial services, or fintech is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with commercial and operations teams.
• Tech-savvy with experience using digital tools and legal technology solutions.
• Proactive in identifying legal and business issues.
• Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work under pressure.
• Team player with the ability to work independently and across cultures and time zones.
