A400M DEMM Spare Demand Planner and Inventory Manager

Job Description:

The jobholder is accountable for managing, controlling, operating and optimizing the Inventory levels and Demand management activities to support the Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contracts on the Airbus Defence and Space Transport perimeter.

The jobholder is responsible of ensuring the full performance of the Demand anticipation and Inventory levels management activities associated to the Performance Based Logistics contracts for the Airbus Defence and Space Transport perimeter. Main accountabilities are the following ones:

• Lead the definition and implementation of internal processes and KPIs (customized according to each Customers requirements) that will maximize the advanced planning of spares parts (ensuring the right balance between financial constraints and contractual requirements).

• Build and continuously reinforce an atmosphere of trust with the international network involved in the contracts (Local teams in MOBs, Customer, Supply chain, Logistics teams, etc).

• Development and maintenance of a solid business model together with the different functions supporting the MRO activities worldwide for our Customers under a PBL contract. Special focus on the common understanding on the anticipation levers.

• Ensure timely delivery of solution of activities under the area accountability and ensuring support of acquisition for new projects.

Knowledge required:

• Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Physics

• Strong knowledge and experience in Supply-Chain and logistics areas (APICs, Logistics certifications). Appreciated past experience in Inventory Management.

• Ability for dealing with large sets of data with an advance level in office package (Excel and Access).

• SAP R/3 (Logistic-Production module) expert level, work experience in production, planning, inventory and purchase orders management transactions.

• Ability to concurrently manage multiple complex projects, and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment with unpredictable and shifting priorities.

• Strong problem-solving abilities. Technically capable of determining “whats wrong” in complex situations and offering potential solutions; identifies root causes of problems and works with others to create effective solutions.

• Strong analytical skills. Ability to break down raw information and unstructured problems into specific, workable components that reflect drivers of causal issues. Makes logical conclusions, anticipates obstacles, and strives for superior results in a creative and resourceful manner.

• Strong and conscientious attention to detail and accuracy; solid organizational skills. You must thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company. Demonstrated success working in an ambiguous environment.
