Working in the Satcom Team

The Satcom business unit is at the heart of Open Cosmos expansion into delivering secure, intelligent, and scalable satellite communication services. This business unit will be responsible for the full product and engineering activities, guiding the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge Satcom systems and services across commercial, enterprise, and government sectors.

As Vice President of Satcom Solutions, you will own the roadmap, execution, and growth of this business area, playing a pivotal role in shaping Open Cosmos technological roadmap and commercial impact in the global connectivity market.

What will you be doing?

You will lead the Satcom business, owning its vision, strategy, execution, and growth to establish Open Cosmos as a top European provider of secure, scalable satellite connectivity. You will own the CAPEX/OPEX planning to deliver sustainable growth within this function.

This will involve aligning commercial goals across secure comms, IoT/M2M, private networks, and 5G/6G backhaul—shaping strategy, forging partnerships, and defining the companys role in global connectivity. Simultaneously, youll scale cross-functional teams and ensure timely, cost-effective, high-quality delivery across systems, software, networks, and platforms.

You will drive innovation in inter-satellite links, RF/optical comms, 5G/6G NTN integration, and digital twin-based optimisation, ensuring secure, scalable, high-performance systems.

To succeed in this role, youll need:

• Applied knowledge in product and engineering leadership roles in the space, telecommunications, or aerospace sectors.
• Hands-on competency in one or more of the following domains: inter-satellite networking, software development, optical communications, secure communications, 5G/6G NTN.
• Proven capability in delivering complex technical programs involving satellite systems, telecom networks, or integrated ground infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Satcom architecture, product lifecycle, agile practices, and systems engineering principles.
• The ability to foster an agile, collaborative, and value-driven engineering culture, built around lean cross-functional teams and continuous improvement.
